The plaintiffs appealed the court’s decision that the zoning verification letter from the county permitting LCMCD’s use of the Woodstock Airport FL86 was valid.
Since that time the District has extended the lease with the property owners for use of the airport through December of 2018. At the September regular board meeting, a motion was made and seconded to purchase the property, but the motion failed due to concerns raised over easements on the property. The LCMCD Director is investigating the easement claims made by members of public who attended the last meeting. The LCMCD Commissioners will likely discuss the Woodstock purchase again at the October regular meeting.
