The REAL “Cellular Therapy” Story

The “modern breakthrough” of cellular therapy isn’t new nor newly discovered by “modern medicine.” In fact, it was considered “quackery” (like vitamins, Osteopaths and many older and cheaper, tried-and-true remedies) by all of the medical “experts” as late as the 1980’s and doctors who professed belief in the concept were prosecuted vigorously (ostensibly for wire or mail fraud) by state prosecutors on the advice of the medical establishment. You hadn’t heard about this?

Then, through the “hard work and dedication”, the medical establishment “discovered” the concept through “years and years of extensive and expensive research.”

This propaganda was encouraged by the medical establishment and propagated by the major news organizations (who get large advertising revenues) with the help of the drug manufacturers who will benefit from DNA patents. Of course, you “must” believe the drug manufacturers who can just barely keep ahead of the personal injury lawyers. Now "cellular therapy" means “stem cell” therapy. . . with the deadly symptoms of their “miracle” drugs (that still can’t match the usefulness and safety of the common aspirin.)

Enter Alexis Carrel, (1873 –1944) a French surgeon and biologist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine in 1912 for pioneering vascular suturing techniques. Among his other remarkable medical breakthroughs, he invented the first perfusion pump with the financial support of friend and aviator Charles A. Lindbergh opening the way to organ transplantation.

So that we’re not accused of hero worship, Carrel also believed in eugenics and was a significant influence in the justification for the Nazi “final solution” attempting to rid the world of “negative influences” like Jews, Gypsies, and those unfortunate enough to be born with physical and mental anomalies (maybe including ADD, PTSD, depression, etc.?) Now-a-days the legitimate science would be discredited because of his discredited political opinions.

But for this discussion we’re only addressing his theory that cells could survive indefinitely under proper conditions one of which was the introduction of embryonic cells. He discovered that the certain animal embryonic cells had a “blank” DNA footprint and therefore would not be rejected and that these cells could and did rejuvenate “like” cells; e.g., heart cells for a damaged heart, or liver cells for a sick or damaged liver, etc.

Up until the '80s the medical establishment convinced the public that the introduction of these foreign cells would quickly cause the patient to go into an anaphylactic shock and die. This outcome was significantly and statistically rarer compared to that of patients dying from unexpected infections under other medical procedures… of the time (taking into account that most patients were far into their illnesses when treated). Compared with the statistics of today’s deaths from unexpected infections of patients NOT admitted for life threatening conditions the stats still cannot be discounted.

As a side note and as a world class scientist and intellectual he was also a witness to a miraculous healing in the town of Lourdes, France. He admitted that, considering all the scientific possibilities, he could not disparage the incident and was widely ridiculed for this opinion.

Having said all this, this isn’t the guy who actually began taking these theories to the next level.

That was Dr. Paul Niehans (1882-1971) a Swiss doctor famous for developing cellular therapy methods of production and applications. Although he is incorrectly credited with “inventing” cellular therapy, he had successfully treated thousands of patients with carefully, antiseptically prepared live fetal cells from a particular breed of sheep. He is particularly known for his treatment of Pope Pius XII and royalty like King Ibn Saoud, politicians like Konrad Adenauer and many film stars like Charlie Chaplin. In Hollywood it was considered the “maintain youth” treatment.

Now, that cellular therapy means “stem cell” therapy, it will be carefully patented and out of reach for all but the most important and government customers. But wait, doesn’t that kind of look like a form of eugenics?

There still are good doctors just like there are good teachers, but the government, the “professional” organizations and lawyers make it nearly impossible for them to function and succeed in serving the public. But then that’s precisely why we need more status quo, right?

Warning: Make sure you consult with your own physician before having old cellular therapy techniques.
