Update:
As of 1/2/2020 the GPIWA announced that the boil water notice has been lifted.
The water outage was from about 7:30pm, Tuesday the 30th to nearly 11pm when the main line was repaired. GPIWA also is issuing a 3-day boil water notice for areas Pine Island Center to Bokeelia.

The Greater Pine Island Water Assoc. reports a main line break on Pine Island Road. It is affecting Bokeelia and other areas of Pine Island. Further, they report that they will work through the night, if necessary, to repair the line and restore water service to its customers. PIN suggests that you make sure that your hot water tanks do not remain on if there is no water in them or if there is a chance that they may drain while the tank is attempting to heat water.
