- St. James City Business Owner Mary Kay Stevens spoke in opposition of the plan amendment; and described the involvement and awards that she and her husband have earned throughout their Pine Island residency.

     Those familar with the trek up to the top of the mound overlooking Pineland will recognize by its absence the rest building which stood there before hurricane Charlie. In addition, many who had been to the property previously commented how different the area looks after the storm. Many areas around Pineland tend to look bare as compared to the lush greenery before the storm.
