Once again the Matlacha Hookers have successfully collected school supplies for Pine Island Elementary School.
Chairpersons, Cindee Tolliver and Karen McKee plus Joann Vollmer and Alice Leary placed bins throughout the Greater Pine Island area and once again our generous citizens and businesses came forward to help our island school.
The Matlacha Hookers also presented a $1000 check to the school, which has been designated to be divided among the teachers and used for classroom supplies throughout the semester.
Presenting the check to Principal Rob Mazzoli is Matlacha Hooker President Arlene Stornello. Also present are Cindee Tolliver, Chairperson, Robin Lilly, board member and Sandra Williams Pine Island Elementary Staff.
The Matlacha Hookers and Pine Island Elementary would like to thank our businesses and everyone who donated school supplies and in doing so helped us to ".........make a positive difference in our community."
